Tennis Performance Training AcademyThe System

The Performance Training Academy (PTA) is available to anyone (boys or girls – Marist or non Marist attendance) and for all levels of players who would like to fast track their tennis training and playing ability by using our new innovative and unique training system. Grouped into Juniors or Seniors Squads depending on age then sub grouped into:

  • Beginner
  • Intermediate
  • Advanced Players

Training will be broken into 3 separate areas at each session. Players will be exposed to off court footwork & fitness training, high volume hitting & technique training and then onto match play & point play to finish at each session. (Note – beginners don’t participate in footwork/fitness training.)

Each training session, with the exception to beginners, will start with offcourt footwork/fitness training with a separate coach, then moving onto the on-court session.

Each session on-court, players will rotate to a different coach and in doing so will change the stroke that they are working on. One coach for one stroke. Within each 1 hour session on court, players will rotate 3 times thus training 20mins on each stroke and thus training on 3 different strokes per session. Players will then move onto the matchplay & point play session.

The matchplay & point play session will be done over on the back 3 courts with another coach.

So, Beginners will train for 1.5hrs each session (1hr on court training plus 30mins matchplay & point play).

Intermediate and Advanced will train for 2 hours per session (30 mins footwork/fitness plus 1hr on court training plus 30mins of matchplay & point play).

The Breakdown

Players are able to train from just once per week. To get the best out of our players and the results we are looking to achieve, we ask that players train more than once per week. Juniors are able to train twice a week (Tuesdays and Thursdays) and seniors are able to train three times a week (Monday, Wednesday and Fridays). All training is done in the afternoons.

To allow for the affordability of such a program we stagger the pricing over each session, the more you do the cheaper it becomes! To achieve the results we are looking to obtain we would like players to be training at their maximum rate – Juniors twice a week (Tues & Thurs) and seniors three times a week (Mon, Wed & Fri).

We are able to take in a maximum of 24 players per junior or senior training and priority will be given to those booking for the maximum training times.

We are able to take in a maximum of 72 players per junior or senior training and priority will be given to those booking for the maximum training times.

Membership fees and costs

There is a once a year membership fee to be paid at the start of your booking of $129. In addition to giving you a saving of over $800/year in lesson fees, the membership gives you access to the discounted rates as well as students receiving a players pack containing a ProAm Tennis branded training T-shirt and cap that players can use to train in and wear also for tournaments away.

Weekly costs and training time are:

1 session/wk = $49 (1.5hrs Beg or 2hrs for Int & Adv squads) – (Without membership = $69)

2 sessions/wk = $69 (3hrs Beg or 4hrs for Int & Adv squads) – (Without membership = $89)

3 sessions/wk = $79 (4.5hrs Beg or 6hrs for Int & Adv squads) – (Without membership = $99)

With these prices, you will be paying as little as $13/hr for a session!!
This is unheard of in performance training!

Whats next?
Register your child.

Payments
When registering your child you will be asked to make payment of the registration fee of $129, after that you will be able to set up your payment options once you have selected which days your child will be training.

There will be 3 different payment options:

  • Credit card – pay for term up front.
  • Direct Deposit – pay for the total term by transferring the funds to our account within two weeks for the term.
  • Direct Debit (recommended) – Your account will be debited every two weeks for the following two weeks. This will continue until the term finishes, where the transfers will then cease. There is a small set-up fee with this option of around $2 at the start of term.

Your account will show up as debited by “Ezidebit Health Fitness” – the company we use to perform the transactions.
